Aries knew he was badass.
It wasn’t just the leather coat. It wasn’t just the t-shirt with the American flag blazoned across his chest. It wasn’t just the urban camo pants he wore, with the combat boots laced up over them.
He had The Walk.
A swagger, an aura that came around him that said, “Don’t fuck with me”. The blue messy mohawk accenting his bright blue eyes and fair skin, and the pierced ring around his red lip all equaled “Badassery” in his book.
Even the prosecutor had said so, when he rescued him from those maniacs. He hadn’t actually said so, but kept his distance away from Aries as he did his job, and did it most effectively.
First, he waded into the crowd of Maniacs. He almost lost his hand trying to catch the chain that one swung at him, but Aries tucked in, short and tight, and got a hold of the man’s arm, twisting it back and causing the chain to whip back against them. The whip went across Aries’ back, making him hiss, but the leather took the cut and didn’t split.
He couldn’t bring the Maniac down by sheer size and weight, unfortunately, so he hooked his leg around the back of the Maniac’s other foot and shoved. That worked, making the man topple, and the chain fall on top of him. Aries grabbed the loop of chain and yanked it up, then wrapped it around his hand and arm. Better than brass knuckles, he led off with a punch from that, easily taking out the rest of the Maniacs surrounding the prosecutor.
The prosecutor wanted him to escort him out of the nest of Maniacs, which Aries did and the prosecutor gave him plenty of room to do it. No sooner had he cleared it than the man walked briskly back to his office, thankful to get distance from the blue-haired brawler.
Aries only smiled. Yep, Badassery.
This is not the same Aries in the Brothers of the Zodiac series.
