They were asleep together in the rocking chair. Knight stood in the doorway, looking at Mal holding Roland, both of them sound asleep. He etched that picture in his mind, a beautiful moment that made everything he had gone through worth it.

Mike put his arm around Scott, who murmured something in his sleep. He spooned himself close to his husband, and thought of Mikael and Fold.

Toxicon finished drinking the last of the tequila and realized he didn’t like it. He wondered if his roomie, Kelvin, was still going to stay in this apartment with him. He only hoped so because he didn’t want to live alone.

Starcrowe managed to fall asleep finally. That morning, he had gotten a letter from a company called Texitron. They had his application and wanted him to come in for an interview. However, he was trying to decide whether or not to go work for them, or to remain on Teen Guardians’ payroll. Grim wasn’t going to promote him, he knew that. Maybe this job at Texitron would give him plenty of room to move around in.

Blake was up writing a brief in his cramped handwriting that only he and Trixie could read. This brief was a response to a restraining order against a shifter so that she could not have her own children. He needed to prove that because she was a shifter, she was not a wild wolf and wouldn’t eat her kids. Things like this, especially to judges who thought shifters were less than human. And this was one of those judges.
