The plane touched down in Millennium City late in the afternoon on Sunday. Alex was already unbuckling his belt and moving around the cabin as the plane taxied to its hangar.
Kelvin watched him go, seeing that he had left the back of his shirt behind. Kelvin was surprised at Alex’s build – very muscular and compact. He wanted to touch those shoulders, but he knew Alex wouldn’t let him.
Maybe there was some magic somewhere that would let a person get closer. That’s what Alex needed.
Alex came back as the flight attendant said that they could unbuckle and leave. He was dressed in a t-shirt and had his backpack already. He headed to the door.
Kelvin got up, “Alex, wait–”
Alex turned to face Kelvin, cold fury on his face. “You’re not going to follow me around all the time. As far as I’m concerned, we’re done.”
“Done? You mean you’re not coming back to the group?”
Alex sighed. “Done for now. I’ll be back.”
“When?”
“Soon,” he said, and as soon as the door was open, he was out of it, flying up and away.
Kelvin sighed, got up, and thanked everyone, then walked down the stairs to the hangar.
Alex, meanwhile, flew toward home, but he didn’t want to go there. He instead lit down in the middle of DEMON country.
He let loose.
