FIVE HUNDRED!

This is post five hundred.  What a long, strange trip it’s been.

I hope you like my characters.  If you’re ever in Champions Online, my handle is @maulkin.

What are some upcoming things happening to some characters?

Knight: Dealing with a cursed book of sonnets, married life, and maybe a baby????

Grim: Dealing with teenagers.  He loves teenagers.  Keeping his relationship with Scott going while keeping himself out of trouble.  And establishing a relationship with Mikael (maybe).

Drake: His ongoing search for his sexuality, and later his forced betrothal.

Tamerlane:  I have to get his novel up and running.  He will NOT be a character in Champions, no matter how much the muse begs.

New characters:

Taurin – a reboot of an old character, and reboot of North Hampshire.
Fallen – an ex-angel of Therakiel’s who’s trying to make a better name for himself.
Shadow Tiger – An overly-serious, slightly scared philanthropic West Virginian who’s a little fish in a big pond.
Pistolero – Somebody who’s watched way too many westerns.

Teen Guardians – an SG that Grim (of all people) is in charge of, consisting of angsty and drama-ridden teens.  We’ll see how long that lasts, and how much I can tolerate Caprice.

I will attempt to write something every day – which is the purpose of this blog in the first place.  If I use characters again and again, it’s because I like them.  I will use this place for character sketches and notes on setting, characters, culture, etc.  So not everything here will be coherent.

Books in the works:

Brothers of the Zodiac:  Going to get to 50K words by the spring, work on it over the summer, and then start to try selling it as an anthology.

Obsidian Witch (was Grimaulkin Rising): plans to submit to publishers.  Was rejected by one agent thus far.  Submitting to a press in February.

The Consort of the Were King (working title):  Mal and Knight’s (in general) without the setting of CoH or Champions.

Come along for the ride!
